U.S. President Donald Trump warned that Iran has a 48-hour deadline to reopen the Strait of Hormuz without threats, saying failure to do so would trigger U.S. strikes on its energy infrastructure. In a Truth Social post, he wrote, "If Iran doesn't FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS... the United States... will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST!"
