Netanyahu addressed the nation tonight, saying that 20 days into the war, Iran can no longer enrich uranium and can no longer manufacture ballistic missiles. He stressed that this is the current reality, not a future goal. "The shifts at the Revolutionary Guards have gotten very short," Netanyahu said, referring to the pace at which Iran's commanders are being killed and replaced.
Netanyahu acknowledged the toll on Israeli civilians. "I know how hard it is for you. I know how hard it is to be in shelters. I know how hard it is for businesses," he said, adding that the government is investing heavily in compensation and support. "Your patience gives us the strength to achieve the objectives of this campaign."
On Iran's leadership, Netanyahu said it does not matter who replaces those who have been killed. On regime change, he said it is too early to tell whether the Iranian people will take advantage of the conditions being created, adding that it will ultimately be up to them. "They talked about hundreds of towers falling in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa," Netanyahu said. "But the towers falling are in Beirut and Tehran."
Netanyahu said Israel is stronger than ever and Iran is weaker than ever. He described Israel as a regional power and, in some areas, a global one. Asked how long the campaign would last, he answered: "As long as necessary."
