Schools across most of the country will remain closed for now as the IDF Home Front Command keeps its current wartime guidelines in place. Another assessment is scheduled for Wednesday at 8 p.m., when the instructions will be reviewed.
Educational institutions are permitted to operate only in certain areas, provided a shelter can be reached in time. These include the Beit Shean Valley, Jordan Valley, West Bank, Dead Sea area, West Lachish, Gaza border communities, Western Negev, Southern Negev, and the Arava.
In those areas, gatherings of up to 100 people indoors and 50 outdoors are allowed under the same conditions. In the rest of the country, educational activities remain prohibited, gatherings are limited to 50 people, and workplaces may operate only if adequate shelter is accessible.
