Following a new security assessment, the IDF Home Front Command announced that restrictions will be eased in several areas of the country where the threat from Iranian ballistic missiles and Hezbollah rocket fire is considered lower. Starting Monday at 6 a.m., the Beit Shean Valley, Jordan Valley, West Bank, Dead Sea region, West Lachish, Gaza border communities, Western Negev, Southern Negev, and the Arava will shift from "limited activity" to "partial activity."
Under the updated guidelines, schools and other educational institutions in those regions will be allowed to operate if a suitable shelter is available and can be reached in time. The rules also permit gatherings of up to 100 people indoors and 50 outdoors under the same shelter requirements. Military officials stress that although the risk in those areas is assessed as lower, sirens and attacks are still possible.
In the rest of the country, the activity level will remain at "limited activity." Educational activities are still prohibited there, while gatherings of up to 50 people and workplace activity are permitted only if an accessible shelter is available in the event of an alert.
