Israeli cabinet ministers received a security briefing tonight warning that a significant escalation in fire is expected in the coming hours, primarily from Hezbollah but also from Iran. Mayors in northern Israel have been instructed to prepare for a difficult night. The IDF spokesperson's office has acknowledged reports from journalists suggesting heightened activity is imminent, stating the military is prepared and nothing is expected that it cannot handle.
The Israeli military appears to have launched a major wave of strikes across southern Lebanon, with the operation expected to expand. Explosions have also been reported near Beirut. The strikes come as Hezbollah fired 100 rockets at northern Israel in its latest barrage, alongside concurrent Iranian missile fire that triggered sirens across Haifa, the Krayot, Acre, Carmiel, Safed, Nahariya, and dozens of communities across the Galilee and Carmel coast.
