A seventh U.S. service member has died from injuries sustained during Iranian attacks on American forces in the region, CENTCOM confirmed. The service member was seriously wounded in an attack on U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia on March 1 and passed away overnight. The identity of the fallen service member is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The death brings the total number of American military personnel killed in action during Operation Epic Fury to seven. Four were killed when a tactical command center in Kuwait was struck, two died when their facility was hit during Iranian retaliation, and the seventh succumbed to wounds from the Saudi Arabia attack.
