The IDF has confirmed a targeted strike on a room inside the Ramada Hotel in Beirut, targeting five senior Iranian Quds Force operatives from the Lebanon and Palestine divisions. The military is still assessing the results of the strike, though Lebanese reports indicate casualties at the site. The IDF had warned Iranian nationals to leave Lebanon immediately over the weekend.
The five targets included Majid Hassini, who was responsible for transferring funds to Iranian proxies in Lebanon to finance Hezbollah, Hamas, and other armed groups, as well as funding the production of weapons for Hezbollah. Ali Reza Bi-Azar served as head of the intelligence branch of the Quds Force's Lebanon division and was considered a key figure in intelligence research and collection on behalf of Hezbollah.
Ahmad Rasouli served as intelligence chief of the Quds Force's Palestine division, responsible for gathering intelligence on behalf of Palestinian armed groups in Lebanon and Gaza. Hussein Ahmadloo was an intelligence operative involved in collecting information on Israel. Abu Muhammad Ali served as Hezbollah's representative to the Quds Force's Palestine division, maintaining the organization's ongoing contact with Palestinian operations.
The strike represents a continued effort to dismantle the Iranian command and funding network that connects Tehran to its regional proxies operating out of Lebanon.
