Approximately 50 Israeli Air Force fighter jets have struck and dismantled Ali Khamenei's underground military bunker beneath the Iranian regime's leadership compound in the heart of Tehran, the IDF announced. The military released footage of the strike.
The bunker, which spanned multiple streets in central Tehran, served as the Supreme Leader's secure emergency command center and contained numerous entrances and meeting rooms for senior regime officials. Khamenei was killed before he could use the facility during Operation Roar of the Lion, but the compound continued to be used by senior Iranian officials.
The IDF says the strike followed a lengthy intelligence collection and research process conducted by the military's Intelligence Directorate. The military described the bunker as one of the Iranian leadership's most important military command centers, stating that its destruction further degrades the regime's command and control capabilities.
