Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister received back-to-back phone calls from his Israeli and Iranian counterparts

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister received back-to-back phone calls from his Israeli and Iranian counterparts just hours after Iranian drones struck Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan exclave. Two drones launched from Iranian territory hit the area on Thursday, one striking the terminal building of Nakhchivan International Airport and another landing near a school in the village of Shakarabad, injuring two civilians, according to Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.
Baku summoned Iran's ambassador and condemned the strikes, stating that Azerbaijan "reserves the right to take appropriate retaliatory measures." Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister denied targeting Azerbaijan, saying Iran's policy is to strike only the military bases of its enemies. However, a Telegram channel affiliated with the IRGC claimed responsibility for the attack.
The strikes on Nakhchivan add yet another country to the list of nations hit by Iranian fire since the start of the conflict, alongside the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Turkey, and Cyprus.
