Strikes on Iran are intensifying. Iranian news agencies report that the Assembly of Experts building in the holy city of Qom has been flattened by an airstrike. The Assembly of Experts is the body constitutionally responsible for selecting Iran's next Supreme Leader, making the strike on the institution significant given the confirmed death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Geolocation of the strike confirms the target at coordinates in central Qom.
Separately, Western sources say Qatar has conducted strikes inside Iran in the last 24 hours, marking a significant escalation in Gulf state involvement in the conflict.
