During a cabinet meeting yesterday, senior Israeli defense officials presented the operational end-goals of the Iran campaign, addressing the duration of the operation, exit strategy, and objectives on two fronts: efforts to ignite popular protest inside Iran and potentially topple the government, and the degradation of Iran's missile capabilities, according to a publication by Channel 12.
Defense officials told ministers: "At the end of this operation, the ballistic threat to the State of Israel will not be eliminated. Iran will still have missiles. How many? That depends on the length of the campaign. Part of the missile array is currently buried under rubble, but the day after, the Iranians will try to recover them. Right now, based on satellite imagery, they are trying to salvage what they can from the nuclear facilities, fortify whatever is possible, and remove essential equipment. After the campaign, they will attempt to restore what we have bombed, and what we will continue to bomb. If our plans work as intended, we will reduce Iran's ballistic capability, and more importantly, we will reduce their ability to rebuild."
