Qatar's Ministry of Defense announces its air force has shot down two Iranian Su-24 fighter jets approaching from Iran. The Qatari military also intercepted seven ballistic missiles through its air defense systems and engaged five drones using its air and naval forces that targeted multiple areas in the country today.
The ministry states all threats were engaged immediately upon detection in accordance with operational plans, with all missiles intercepted before reaching their targets. The ministry adds that Qatar's armed forces "possess the full capabilities to protect the state's sovereignty and territory and to firmly confront any external threat."
