IDF Chief of the General Staff LTG Eyal Zamir has approved offensive plans for the continuation of the campaign against Hezbollah in northern Israel, instructing commanders to augment both offensive efforts and defensive posture in the sector.

Speaking during a situational assessment at Northern Command, Zamir told division commanders: "Our core effort is focused on Iran. We are operating with force and striking the terrorist regime in unprecedented cooperation with the United States military. After Hezbollah opened fire, I instructed that we act with force against Hezbollah as well."

Zamir stated the IDF is prepared to operate on multiple fronts simultaneously, saying: "We will end this campaign with not just Iran being struck but with Hezbollah suffering a devastating blow." He confirmed that the government of Lebanon and Lebanese Armed Forces had been warned repeatedly to disarm Hezbollah, adding: "They did not act and so we know how to defend ourselves with our own means."

The Chief of the General Staff said there will be no further evacuation of communities in northern Israel, stating that protecting residents is the IDF's top priority. He told commanders they have full ground, fire, air, and naval capabilities at their disposal.

Zamir declared: "Our message is clear and resonates throughout the Middle East. We will strike all who rise to harm us. We have proven this and will continue to prove it."
