QatarEnergy suspended all liquefied natural gas production following an attack on its infrastructure at Ras Laffan. According to a company statement, the state-owned corporation halted operations immediately and currently has no timeline for restoring production. The Qatari Ministry of Defense stated that drones targeted the energy facility earlier today. According to QatarEnergy, the company accounts for nearly 20 percent of global liquefied natural gas production. Qatari authorities stated they are assessing the structural damages before providing further operational updates.
