Trump also claimed that nine Iranian naval vessels have been sunk and warned that the rest of Iran's fleet will soon "be floating at the bottom of the sea." He added that a separate strike "largely destroyed" Iran's naval headquarters, though he remarked that their navy is "doing very well," posting the comments on Truth Social.
Earlier, US Army Central Command reported the first American casualties in the escalating conflict, with three soldiers killed and five seriously wounded. The command did not provide details on the circumstances. These events follow a joint US-Israeli operation reportedly aimed at regime change in Iran, including the killing of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, with no successor yet appointed.
