Police state that yesterday, as part of Operation Roaring Lion

By Sammy,

Police state that yesterday, as part of Operation Roaring Lion, Jerusalem District police and bomb disposal teams responded to reports of smoke rising from an open area just a few hundred meters from the holy sites in the Old City. Officers located an Iranian missile warhead along with incendiary and explosive materials scattered nearby. The device was safely neutralized and transferred to police explosives laboratories for further analysis.

In accordance with Home Front Command instructions, all holy sites in the Old City remain closed, and the public is urged to avoid these areas for their safety.

Commander Dvir Tamim of the David Sub-District stressed: "This incident shows that the threat does not discriminate. Even a small deviation could have caused severe damage if the missile had hit a holy site during visiting hours. Following Home Front Command guidance is essential to protect civilians."
