Israel and the United States launched a coordinated operation targeting the Iranian regime, prompting Israel to declare a nationwide state of emergency. Dubai and Emirates airline suspended flights, Qatar engaged incoming missiles over Doha, and Bahrain issued nationwide shelter orders while evacuating parts of Juffair near the U.S. Fifth Fleet. Vessels near the Strait of Hormuz received radio warnings from the IRGC declaring the passage closed, although no formal closure was announced.
In response to the escalating crisis, the United States heightened security measures globally. Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam moved to Force Protection Condition BRAVO, and operations were monitored from Mar-a-Lago by President Donald Trump, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Gen. Dan Caine. Officials indicated that the air campaign against Iran would extend over multiple days, signaling a prolonged and intensifying conflict.
