Follow up: The U.S. State Department has also authorized the departure of non-essential personnel and family members from Kuwait.
Saudi channel Al-Hadath reported that American citizens have been leaving Iraq over the past 24 hours through Baghdad International Airport following an urgent evacuation operation.
The U.S. has now ordered evacuations from its embassies in Israel, Lebanon, Iraq, and Kuwait within days of each other.
