Manoto TV, a London-based Persian-language channel popular with the Iranian diaspora

Manoto TV, a London-based Persian-language channel popular with the Iranian diaspora, has temporarily stopped live broadcasts after UK counterterrorism authorities warned its landlord of a potential threat from Iran. Staff have been denied access to the building, forcing the channel to suspend transmissions while new arrangements are made.
The broadcaster, which began in 2010 and is known for its opposition coverage, said the pause comes at one of the most sensitive moments in Iran's history. It added that the Iranian regime has intensified efforts to suppress independent reporting as domestic and regional events unfold rapidly.
Manoto TV said its priority is to resume live broadcasting from a secure and stable location as soon as possible.
