Today, tens of thousands of Muslim Israelis joined Friday prayers at the Al‑Aqsa Mosque compound on the Temple Mount, along with about 8,500 Palestinians who crossed Israeli checkpoints from the West Bank. According to police, attendance from the West Bank is capped at 10,000 worshipers, following the same rules as last year: only men 55 and older, women 50 and older, and children 12 and under accompanied by a first-degree relative are allowed. Palestinian residents of Israel are not subject to these restrictions. The prayers concluded peacefully, with no major incidents.
