By Bernie,
U.S. Air Force fighter movements have intensified, with F-22 Raptor stealth fighters from the 1st Fighter Wing at Langley Air Force Base now airborne and heading toward Europe, supported by multiple KC-46 tankers. At least six F-22s with callsign TREND51-56 are currently in transit.
Twelve F-16 Fighting Falcons from the 31st Fighter Wing at Aviano Air Base in Italy are airborne, supported by KC-135 tankers. Additional F-16s from the 52nd Fighter Wing at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany are also moving, with more expected to follow.
Multiple tanker aircraft are positioning to support the movements, including KC-135s and KC-46s staged across Europe. Tracking analysts describe these as Coronet East operations, in which tanker aircraft escort and refuel fighters mid-flight, allowing them to cross oceans without stopping.
