The IDF says underground tunnel demolition efforts by the 7th Armored Brigade in southern Gaza have turned up a significant weapons stockpile, with forces uncovering a "large number" of assault rifles, an RPG, and an explosive device that Hamas's Rafah Brigade had reportedly staged for use against Israeli personnel. The discovery, made on the Israeli side of the ceasefire line, comes as mop-up operations in the Rafah region continue to track down Hamas operatives believed to be sheltering in subterranean networks beneath the eastern part of the area. Israeli forces say they've killed or captured "some 50" of these operatives over recent months, though dozens are still thought to remain below ground.
