The IDF says it carried out an airstrike in central Gaza earlier today, killing Ali Al-Razayneh, who it identifies as the commander of Palestinian Islamic Jihad's Northern Gaza Brigade.
According to the army, the strike was conducted in response to an overnight attack in northern Gaza in which a reservist officer was seriously wounded after troops came under gunfire.
