The IDF says terrorists opened fire overnight on Israeli troops operating in the northern Gaza Strip

By Sammy,

The IDF says terrorists opened fire overnight on Israeli troops operating in the northern Gaza Strip, calling the shooting a "blatant violation" of the ceasefire.

According to the military, soldiers from the Alexandroni Brigade were conducting activity on the Israeli side of the Yellow Line when they came under attack by multiple gunmen. During the incident, an IDF reservist officer was seriously wounded and was evacuated to a hospital. His family has been notified.

The army says it responded with tank fire toward the attackers and IAF strikes in the area. Meanwhile, Gazan media reported at least nine people killed in strikes overnight across Gaza, including six in the north of the Strip.
