Iranian media outlets, including the semi-official Fars news agency, claim an Iranian drone carried out a "surveillance mission in international waters."
The statement comes after the US military announced earlier today that it shot down an Iranian drone that "aggressively" approached the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier while it was operating in the Arabian Sea.
