In a statement, the Prime Minister's Office announced that Prime Minister Netanyahu met with U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff ahead of Witkoff's meeting with an Iranian representative.
Netanyahu emphasized Israel's uncompromising demand for Hamas to disarm and for the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip, stating that war objectives must be completed before any reconstruction. The prime minister said the Palestinian Authority will not be part of the management of Gaza in any way, and informed U.S. Ambassador Yechiel Hakebi about serious violations discovered in Gaza involving the use of UNRWA bags to conceal weapons.
On Iran, Netanyahu reiterated his position that Tehran has repeatedly proven its promises cannot be trusted.
