Earlier today at the World Governments Summit in Dubai

By Meir,

Earlier today at the World Governments Summit in Dubai, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam was asked about comments made last week by Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Qassem. He responded harshly, stating "We will never allow anyone to drag the country into another adventure." While Qassem did not directly state that Hezbollah intends to join in fighting against the United States if Iran is struck, he did say "We will choose how to act in due course, but we are not neutral in this battle."

Prime Minister Salam's remarks made it clear that he rejects any scenario that could pull Lebanon into further regional conflict, emphasizing that "no one is willing to expose the country to adventures of this kind." During his statement, he asserted that the ultimate goal for his government was to "reclaim the decision of war and peace" and to restore unity to the country.
