IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir said in recent assessments that Israel is in a period of uncertainty, estimating a potential U.S. strike on Iran could come "within two weeks to two months," according to Israeli journalist Doron Kadosh.
Senior Israeli security sources indicated Washington is not sharing all details with Jerusalem, keeping Israel at arm's length from key decisions. The sources added that the coming weeks will remain tense.
Iran enters the "Ten Days of Fajr" beginning today, marking 47 years since the Islamic Revolution, from Ayatollah Khomeini's return to the fall of the Shah. In mid-February, Iran will observe the 40th-day commemoration for those killed in early January's protests, marking the end of the primary Shiite mourning period.
