The United States has developed a target bank for potential strikes in Iran in coordination with Israel, Britain, France, and other allies, according to Israeli media outlet Hayom. The head of Israeli Military Intelligence, Maj. Gen. Shlomi Binder, visited Washington in recent days as part of the intelligence-sharing effort, alongside representatives from three Gulf states and another Arab country in the region.
The Wall Street Journal reported that President Trump has been briefed on strike options developed jointly by the White House and Pentagon. The options include a large-scale bombing campaign against Iranian regime and IRGC facilities, as well as more limited alternatives such as symbolic strikes, cyberattacks on Iranian banks, and increased sanctions.
Sources told Hayom that intelligence officials held brainstorming sessions with American counterparts aimed at maximizing the effectiveness of a potential strike and ensuring Iran's ability to cause harm is diminished to the point of regime collapse. The U.S. Treasury Department is also tracking Iranian assets abroad, with American officials reporting billions of dollars have been moved out of Iran in recent weeks to foreign accounts by regime officials and IRGC-linked entities.
The EU's designation of the IRGC as a terrorist organization will aid efforts to freeze, seize, and confiscate these funds, Israeli officials said. IRGC-linked companies control approximately one-third of Iran's economy.
The Guardian reported that Britain is not expected to participate in a U.S. attack on Iran. Twelve British Typhoon fighter jets stationed in Qatar are intended for defensive missions in the event Iran attacks Qatar or other regional allies.
