By Bernie,
The Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Delbert D. Black has arrived in the Middle East as the Trump administration prepares potential military options for Iran. The destroyer is equipped with 96 vertical launch system cells capable of firing Tomahawk cruise missiles, SM-2 surface-to-air missiles, and anti-submarine rockets, along with Harpoon anti-ship missiles and a 5-inch naval gun. President Trump recently referenced a "massive armada" moving toward the country.
The Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group, which includes the destroyers USS Spruance, USS Frank E. Petersen Jr., and USS Michael Murphy, is also operating in the region. Additional U.S. warships in Central Command include the destroyers USS McFaul and USS Mitscher, and the littoral combat ships USS Canberra, USS Tulsa, and USS Santa Barbara.
