According to a report by Ynet, Israeli police arrested a 75-year-old foreign tourist near the Kirya military headquarters in Tel Aviv on suspicion of activity linked to hostile actors. Defense Ministry security guards detained the man after spotting him lingering in the area for an extended period while photographing nearby roads, buildings, and other infrastructure. He was also reportedly seen taking pictures of the Defense Ministry complex from a nearby bridge.

Police told the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court that the suspect was engaged in what they described as preparatory activity. A judge accepted the request to extend his detention until tomorrow to allow investigators additional time to continue the probe.

According to Ynet, authorities later seized a computer and a flash drive from the man's home and are seeking to examine their contents. Security officials also claimed that images allegedly taken from within the base area were found on his phone and deleted at the scene.
