Israeli police declared a lockdown in the community of Paran in the Arava region following the alert. Police are blocking roads in the Paran area and at Menucha Junction, with roadblocks also reported in Eilat.
Special police units and additional southern district forces are en route to the area. The Central Arava Regional Council instructed residents to shelter in their homes and lock their doors. Noa Brown, CEO of the Regional Council, confirmed the council is in contact with security officials.
