Israel says it will move toward reopening the Rafah Crossing only after completing its current effort

Israel says it will move toward reopening the Rafah Crossing only after completing its current effort to locate the remains of fallen hostage Master Sgt. Ran Gvili (of blessed memory), according to a Prime Minister's Office statement released Sunday evening.
The PMO said the IDF is presently carrying out a focused effort to exhaust all intelligence gathered in the mission to locate and return Gvili. Once that operation is completed, and in line with what was agreed upon with the United States, Israel will reopen Rafah in a limited format.
The reopening is part of U.S. President Donald Trump's 20-point plan, and will allow pedestrian passage only, subject to a full Israeli inspection mechanism. Israel also said the move was conditioned on the return of all living hostages, as well as Hamas making a "100% effort" to locate and return all deceased hostages.
