By Bernie,
Iran has suspended all visual flight rules (VFR) and general aviation flights nationwide, according to a Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) issued by Iranian aviation authorities. The restriction took effect on January 26 at 05:24 UTC and is scheduled to remain in place until April 26, 2025 at 20:30 UTC, a period of approximately three months.
Exemptions apply to flights operating within airport traffic zones or engaged in hospital, search and rescue, state, military, and National Iranian Oil Company helicopter operations, provided they coordinate in advance with air traffic services.
