Channel 12 reports that ahead of Thursday's Board of Peace unveiling ceremony in Davos, US President Donald Trump twice asked Israel's Prime Minister's Office to allow President Isaac Herzog to sit on stage during the event.
According to the report, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected the request, insisting that the invitation was meant for him and not for Herzog. Herzog's office declined to comment.
Netanyahu ultimately did not travel to Switzerland for the ceremony or the World Economic Forum, reportedly due to concerns Swiss authorities could enforce the International Criminal Court arrest warrant against him if he entered Swiss territory.
