According to the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke by phone on Friday with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, discussing Iran and the broader situation in the Middle East. During the call, Putin said he supports intensifying political and diplomatic efforts to ensure stability and security in the region and offered Russia's assistance in mediation related to Iran.
Putin also held a separate phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian the same day. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the Russian leader will continue efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions in the region.
