Early Thursday, flights began returning to Iranian skies after authorities lifted an airspace closure

By Sammy,

Early Thursday, flights began returning to Iranian skies after authorities lifted an airspace closure that had disrupted travel across the country for nearly five hours.

The restriction halted almost all commercial traffic, permitting only a small number of specially approved international arrivals and departures, forcing airlines to cancel, delay or divert routes.

Flight-tracking services said the shutdown left Iran's airspace largely empty compared with the dozens of aircraft normally seen during that period, with planes from Iranian carriers among the first to resume once the closure was lifted.
