The United Kingdom's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office now advises against all but essential travel to Israel and continues to advise against all travel to Gaza, the West Bank, areas within 500 meters of the Gaza border, and areas near the Lebanese border including Sheba'a Farms and Ghajjar.
The FCDO said Wednesday it has taken "the precautionary measure to temporarily move some of our staff and their dependents from Tel Aviv to another location within Israel" due to the ongoing security situation. The British Embassy continues to operate normally, the FCDO said.
"The situation could escalate quickly and poses significant risks. Regional tensions may cause international borders, air and land, to close," the advisory stated. The FCDO warned of ongoing risk of rocket and drone attacks throughout Israel and possible disruption at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.
