According to a statement from his office, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke Wednesday evening with Tali and Itzik Gvili, the parents of fallen hostage Master-Sgt. Ran Gvili, reiterating that bringing their son home remains a central priority.
Netanyahu said that the government's declaration on forming a technocratic administrative framework will not interfere with efforts to secure Ran's return for burial, stressing that these tracks are being pursued simultaneously.
He also insisted that information conveyed to mediators by the Coordinator for the Hostages and the Missing must immediately be translated into concrete steps, adding that Hamas is obligated to fully honor the agreement and make every possible effort to return all fallen hostages, including Ran Gvili, whom he called a hero of Israel.
