United Hatzalah said Monday it has placed its thousands of volunteer medics and emergency response teams on heightened readiness across Israel amid increased security tensions. The organization stated it has reinforced its call center, increased medical equipment supplies, and boosted protective gear in ambulances and for field volunteers. Medical teams have been instructed to increase alertness and remain available on operational communication networks to shorten response times if needed.
United Hatzalah CEO Professor Ehud Davidson said the measures are precautionary steps of professional responsibility. "There is no change in Home Front Command instructions," Davidson said. "This is to ensure we can continue providing initial medical assistance to every citizen, in every place and at all times."
