Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is urging governments and international bodies to act quickly

By Sammy,

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is urging governments and international bodies to act quickly in response to the protests sweeping Iran, saying the unrest could open the door to ending decades of rule by the current leadership.

In his nightly video address, Zelensky calls the demonstrations an "uprising" and says the Iranian regime has brought "so much evil, including to Ukraine." He adds that the turmoil is already affecting Russia's ties with Tehran, especially over the supply of Iranian made Shahed drones, and stresses that the world must not miss what he calls a rare opportunity to support Iranians in pushing for real change.
