The Israeli Ministry of Health on Monday distributed updated guidelines to hospitals detailing procedures

By Bernie,

The Israeli Ministry of Health on Monday distributed updated guidelines to hospitals detailing procedures for rapid transition from routine operations to emergency status. The directive, signed by Associate Director General Dr. Sefi Mendelovich, was sent to directors of general, psychiatric, geriatric, and rehabilitation hospitals, as well as health maintenance organization CEOs, district physicians, and Magen David Adom. The guidelines outline actions hospitals must take during an emergency transition, including relocation to protected areas and staffing protocols.

The Ministry stated the guidelines were developed based on lessons learned from the war. The directive emphasized that there is no change in the current situation assessment and the health system remains at Readiness Level B, with no active preparedness steps required at this stage. The Ministry said the guidelines are being distributed to advance preparedness and will be activated immediately upon any change in readiness status.
