Iran has contacted Washington about resuming nuclear negotiations, US President Donald Trump
By Sammy,
Iran has contacted Washington about resuming nuclear negotiations, US President Donald Trump said, while cautioning that the United States "may have to act before a meeting" takes place.
Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump said the Iranian regime is approaching the red line he previously set regarding the killing of protesters, accusing Tehran of "ruling through violence" and saying civilians are being killed "who aren't supposed to be killed." He added that he is receiving hourly updates as unrest continues across the country.
Trump said the US military is reviewing what he described as "very strong options," warning that any Iranian strike on American or commercial targets would draw a response at levels Iran has "never been hit before."
He also said he plans to speak with Elon Musk about expanding Starlink access to help protesters bypass the government-imposed internet blackout, while declining to give a timeline for the rollout of his administration's Gaza Board of Peace.
