Iran Protests: Multiple international airlines have canceled or suspended flights to Tehran and other Iranian cities due to ongoing protests and heightened security threats.

Lufthansa Group has suspended all flights to Tehran through January 16. Turkish Airlines canceled multiple flights to Tehran, Mashhad, and Tabriz, while its low-cost subsidiary AJet also halted services to Tehran. Pegasus Airlines suspended operations to Iran, including cases of aircraft turning back mid-flight. flydubai canceled flights to Tehran, Shiraz, Mashhad, and Bandar Abbas. Emirates and Etihad Airways suspended or delayed flights to Tehran, with Etihad halting services at least through January 13. Qatar Airways canceled flights between Doha and Tehran during the same period. Austrian Airlines canceled scheduled flights from Vienna to Tehran, and Azerbaijan Airlines suspended flights from Baku to Tehran.

Airlines cited security concerns, operational risks, and airspace restrictions linked to the protests. Iranian carriers are largely continuing operations.
