US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emerged from their Florida meeting portraying strong alignment, with Trump saying they had reached "a lot of conclusion, and conclusions," adding that there is "very little difference in what we're looking at and where we want to be." Netanyahu later called the meeting "very, very productive," while Trump publicly thanked him, using his nickname and saying, "We've done very good work together, and it'll continue," before adding, "We're with you, and we'll continue to be with you, Bibi."
On Gaza and Hamas, Trump said, "We talked about Hamas and we talked about disarmament," warning that the group "will be given a very short period of time to disarm." He stressed that "they have to disarm within a fairly short period of time," adding that if they fail, "there will be hell to pay for them." He said senior envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will lead the US effort on the issue.
Trump acknowledged gaps with Netanyahu on other files, saying of the West Bank, "I wouldn't say we agree on the West Bank one hundred percent. But we'll come to a conclusion." Still, he insisted Israel has honored his peace plan, saying, "Israel has lived up to the plan, one hundred percent," while also remarking that sometimes Israel "doesn't understand that when someone violates something, you want to give them a second chance."
Turning to the regional picture, Trump said Israel and the US "do have an understanding regarding Syria," adding that Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa "has been with us all the way." He predicted that Israel and Turkey will not clash, calling Recep Tayyip Erdogan "a very good friend," and asserting, "We're not going have a problem... Nothing's going to happen." He also said he is "thinking about it very seriously" when asked about resuming F-35 sales to Turkey, and added that more than half of Gazans would leave the enclave "if given the opportunity," calling it "common sense."
