An Iranian-linked hacking collective calling itself "Handala" published a threatening and highly coded message on Saturday, coming shortly after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump and ahead of a meeting the Prime Minister's Office says is expected on December 29, though the White House has yet to confirm it.
In its post on X, the group wrote that "as 'Flight BB Gate' rises above the clouds, encrypted currents stir quietly among the watchers and the watched," adding that even when "layers of protection tighten as the journey unfolds," secrets may still "take flight too - leaving trails only the most attentive can see." Addressing Netanyahu directly, the hackers continued, "And Bibi, it seems you're carrying some rather interesting souvenirs with you this time," before concluding with the words, "Tik Tok... Tik Tok."
NBC News reported that the talks are likely to take place at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, where Netanyahu is expected to present "options for new strikes in Iran," underscoring the tense backdrop to the hackers' warning.
