Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office says Israel's chief coordinator for hostages and missing persons

By Sammy,

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office says Israel's chief coordinator for hostages and missing persons, Brig. Gen. (res.) Gal Hirsch, traveled to Cairo on Tuesday alongside representatives from the IDF, Shin Bet and Mossad for consultations with regional and international mediators.

According to the statement, the discussions centered on advancing the concrete steps needed to bring home police Master Sgt. Ran Gvili - the last fallen hostage still held in Gaza. The mediation framework now involves Egypt, Qatar and the United States, with Turkey also playing an increasingly prominent role in the process this year.
