An Israeli civilian was rescued on Friday after being abducted in the Jericho area of the Jordan Valley, in what the IDF described as an unusual and serious security incident. Following the initial report of the abduction, Israeli security forces were dispatched to the area and launched searches, while the Civil Administration worked to establish contact with the woman.
After contact was made, Palestinian security forces located her and extracted her from the area in coordination with the Civil Administration, transferring her shortly afterward to IDF forces. No injuries were reported. The circumstances surrounding the abduction and her presence in the area are now under investigation.
The IDF stressed that Israeli civilians are prohibited by law from entering Area A and warned that such entry poses significant danger.
