An Israeli-Lebanese meeting under American auspices was held Friday in Naqoura, according to the Prime Minister's Office. Israel was represented by Dr. Yossi Draznin, deputy head of the National Security Council for foreign policy, with approval from the prime minister.
The meeting was described as a continuation of the security dialogue focused on ensuring the disarmament of Hezbollah by the Lebanese Armed Forces. Officials familiar with the talks said there was limited progress toward initial steps related to economic pilot projects between Israel and Lebanon, with another meeting expected in the first half of January.
